WWII kia p40 pilot search

   Hello all. I know their are history buffs in this community who can help me.

   My Uncle, Clair A. Bigelow, 57thFG, 56FS was kia on Dec. 20, 1943 over Italy while piloting a P40L on a ground attack mission. His sister(my mother) and his brother are seeking info on his service record as am I. Can someone  point us as to where to get info on his service records?

   Clair A. Bigelow, born July 18, 1919. KIA Dec. 20, 1943. Piloting P40L Ser#42-10926 Field#40. His Military ID# may be 0-802,238.

Take a look at the National Archive and Records Administration to apply for his service records:

 Thanks for responding Snefens. I checked those links and will research there later.

  I also found a sight dedicated to the 57th FG. There I found the missing pilot report and much more on the 57th FG's history.  "57thfightergroup.org".
