How is that political?

It seems the virus isn't as potent as many thought

So we can't comment on that fact or it is political?

I live in a rural county So I do not personally know any one locally that has been infected, however as per June 1st my county has 30 deaths and 744 infected for a 4.0% Fatality Rate. My state has 113,006 confirmed cases and 4,251 deaths for a 3.7% fatality rate. The United States of America has 1,811,172 confirmed cases and 105,167 deaths for a 5.8% fatality rate.

22% percent of the known infected are hospitalized and it is estimated half of those hospitalized will suffer life long effects which is why the Military put a life time bar on joining if you have been hospitalized with SARS‑CoV‑2.

People with Diabetes, hypertension, Obesity, Heart disease and the elderly Have elevated fatality rates. Diabetics alone are running around 10% of those infected die. So if your an Old (over 50) Fat Diabetic With High Blood Pressure and a Stint Your probably going to die horribly if you contract SARS‑CoV‑2 and if you do mange to servive your more than likely going to be screwed up (worse than you where) for the rest of your life (Which is probably going to be shorter).

We saw a spike in the numbers 2 weeks after the reopen protest, We are seeing spikes now that we are two weeks out from reopening businesses with no restrictions, We should be seeing a spike later this week from the George Floyd Protest.

If I'm not mistaken many of those hospitalized during the SARS (SARS‑CoV‑1) pandemic in 2003 also had long lasting health issues.

Just so you know.... your state has no idea how many cases there are. That number you refer to is just folks tested as positive. It is pretty well accepted now that the number is not even close to accurate. Even the deaths are most likely not accurate.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm

Just reading the above CDC site should tell you they don't have an accurate, consistant nor expidited method from state to state to compare anything

"Why These Numbers are Different"

"It takes extra time to code COVID-19 deaths. While 80% of deaths are electronically processed and coded by NCHS within minutes, most deaths from COVID-19 must be coded by a person, which takes an average of 7 days."

7 days? I knew gov was slow but this is extreme.

Seems to me that accurate counting of this thing left the building when the gov started paying a bounty on every reported virus death.
