Pandemic has supply chains busted for just about everything else. Why not these? Just about every VR headset is out of stock globally right now. I've read of some trickling into online stores that are immediately gobbled up. On top of it there's talk among several of the manufacturers of the next gen headsets. Usually the idea is they stop making the last version so people will have to buy the new one. That would be under normal circumstances. Problem is with the state of the world just now it's prolly gonna be a good while before this situation changes.

I was looking to upgrade my video card. Thinking that's gonna happen later than sooner at this point for all the same reasons.

Have you checked B&H Photo?  They still have stock on some I think.  HTC Vive Cosmos is one.  Headset and 2 controllers for $699.  This unit has inside-out tracking so no need for base stations.

I bought my first VR headset online from them, didn't have any problems.  Sometimes they sell returns and used items at a discount too.

:salute  Oldman, good to hear from you, sir!

Rift S pretty much goes for list price of $399, its a solid entry-level VR headset, but I can't find stock anywhere I've looked.

The Rift page has a "Notify Me" button, so I guess I just wait for an email from them...?
