I’ve got that one in the works.  I’d say it’s 80% done, might not make it in with this batch but if not, next group for sure.

Great backstory too.

I think its ready to submit.

Just a great backstory on the pilot - one of those times where truth is stranger than fiction.  Shot down at least one plane form each of the Axis powers, and shot down a U.S. plane carrying his girlfriend as well, AND got a medal for it!

Amazing work Oboe. Striking reflective look on your BMF. It really "shines" above other examples of the P-51 we have in game.  :aok
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

(You were smart not to take the bet.) ;)

I like it.  The natural metal on Mustangs was actually quite varied.   Some have a pretty uniform tone over much of the fuselage (like Shawnee Princess and Tiny Gay Baba, for example) while others are all over the place.    Age, atmospheric impact, and metallurgical differences--between batches of planes, but also on a plane itself--have a lot to do with that.   Planes tarnish at different rates, for example.

You have managed to mimic the metal of the actual airplane pretty darned closely.  One TINY nitpick may be that on this particular Mustang the fuselage metal is darker on that panel forward of the wing root than the panels ahead of it.  Not a deal breaker, but opposite what we see on most P-51s. (Shawnee Princess, a -25, is the same way, yet TGB, a -20 like BA, is not.  I will have to try and figure out if there is some correlating factor somewhere that explains this.)

I would perhaps tone the red down the slightest bit as it would fit the rest of the skin a little better (it may admittedly be a concession to the graphics engine, but I also don't entirely trust the profile or the warbird for accuracy--the source photo red looks really flat and worn).

Nice work.   I really want to try the white rivets sometime but I'm afraid to.  Ha ha.

Check this video out.  Man, if only we had resources of this quality for all WWII warbirds:

At 0:21s there's a good shot of the spinner - very dull, flat paint.  I backed way down on the specularity for the spinner and that helps tone it down.   Good catch on the metal shade of the panel just ahead of the wing fillet - I darkened that panel section and lightened the ones forward of it.
