Day of Mourning
« on: September 11, 2001, 09:39:00 AM »
For as long as US planes are grounded I also will not fly. Calling for all AH pilots to take today & tonight for prayer, reflection, & mourning those injured and killed.

This is the best possible way for us to show our respect.

I agree Ghosth.....this is such a terrible tragedy.  Its sickening to think that there are people out there so cold and heartless that they could pull off such an elaborate, well timed scheme.  We can only hope and pray that the worst of it is over.

My deepest heartfelt prayers go out to all the families of the people who have been killed, either in the buildings or the ones in the planes...I cannot imagine the feeling of fear going through the minds of those people on those airliners.

God help us all....

This is something you could never believe to come true.
Nothing we can do right now except keep the victims and their families in our minds and prayers...

I too will do the same. My deepest regret goes out to any and all who may have had family or friedns in either the planes or in the towers them selves.

May god forgive those suns-a-squeakes for what they did, because I as an American will never.   :(

God Bless America  <S>

I still can't understand it, been watching the news since a little while after it started, still unbeliveble, this is not a thing that should happen in real life  :(

I agree with your sentiment, Ghost, but you are playing into the hands of the attacker by doing so (though to a very limited degree). The attacker in this days events sees our commerce as a means of our destruction. While, I believe him to be of significant intelligence, I believe his third world nature denies him the ability to discern our true form. That aside, the enemy in this desires to bring about the destruction of American trade and business and I will not support that for one minute.

I will play Aces High, even today. I may even spend time in the TA helping new customers learn, so they'll stick around.

I'm torn.

I think showing signs of support for the fallen is a great thing to do..
but I also agree about playing into terrorists hands.

I, for one, will continue on as normally as possible.

I'll be damned if I'll willing be one of the ones 'falling to' terrorist goals.

Your sentiments are well taken, however..
and I agree with your motives.

I'm on pins and needles, waiting to hear if my best friend, an American Airlines pilot who flies both out of Newark and Boston, is ok.  Last I knew, he was flying MD-80s and not the aircraft that have augered.  But, we're still hoping to hear if he's ok...he might have been on those birds catching a ride to his next flight   :(

I too think that we should contine, the main aim of terrorists are to cause chaos and destruction, and they achived that today.

This should be a no fire day or something, all countries coming together, one big huge flypast all planes in formation(and see whos computer can take that).
