Semp,

If one dives no steeper than 45 degrees you can usually reach a planes maximum speed before experiencing damage.

I documented most planes point\speed at which they experience damage per terminal speed here:

if i read correctly it says point d should dive no faster than 525.  I routinely dive faster than that.  normally I bring 2 500 bombs, rockets and 75% fuel less what I spent getting to target.

dive about 45° 10 to 12k above ground. drop 1 bombv then climb back up with wep on.  my target diving speed is 525. can't remember the last time I had damaged my plane by diving too fast.

At the speed indicated a plane will experience damage in testing.  Depending on the plane, it can dive faster in some cases.

Which plane again? I'll try to update these but sometimes AH changes things and does not announce micro changes...or I tested the given plane wrong.

Thanks.  :salute

P-39's will do 590 diving from 15K and pull out of the dive on the deck with no problem.

FW190A5/8/F can dive to 600 without damage, actually the best way to get rid of pesky Yak3's
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

I didn't have the opportunity to bring up the e6b but any speed or altitude marks I try for is done in the main arena.  Except these two posts.
