.swa load folder vs .swa save folder
« on: July 18, 2021, 10:53:16 AM »
Might not be a bug as I think I might have posted it before, but that could be oldtimers kicking in.

When working with terrsets, the Object editor saves the .swa flies here:
C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III\ah3terr\avaeto\terrset00\spdtree\swa
But when the Object editor reloads the .swa file, it loads from here:
C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III\ah3terr\avaeto\terrset00\spdtree\swa\spdtree\swa

If you don’t manually transfer the latest saved version of your .swa file to the latter folder, your changes never show up from one work session to the next. If you are new to building terrsets, are working on a large file with both buildings and trees, or have put down the OE for a few months, the resulting loss and confusion can be...

Thank you for fixing this.  :aok

New related item:

The Create Ortho image, still uses the second folder, C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III\ah3terr\avaeto\terrset00\spdtree\swa\spdtree\swa to load the tree file. I was doing without it for a month or two before I figured it out.

Thanks
