Giant Mech games

I recall a game called something like Mech Warriors several years back. You know, giant 2 legged robot like vehicles that the player guided and shot other players doing the same. My first taste of it was an arcade in Cal (IIRC) that had 4 player battles. Then thee were computer games for online and off line play. My question is, are there games out now like that for online play. I have been ignoring online play for years and figure some of you might know about it.

There's MechWarrior Online and MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries, but I don't have first hand experience with either. I play the BattleTech PC game a lot though (turn based unit command).

MechWarrior Online is what you are looking for, if you are looking for PvP.  Haven't touched it so can't tell ya much beyond that.

MW5: Mercenaries is a single player game, but has a Co-Op-able campaign and "skirmishes".

Sadly, MWO jumped the shark and became pretty much pay and win.  Mechwarrior 5 however is single player and is fun, though graphics look slightly dated, even the recent PS5 version but fun nonetheless.

There are a couple JRPG mech games coming out that look interesting.

Not really what you're looking for, but "Into the Breach" also has giant mechs  , and is one of my favorite strategy games.
I spent hours playing the campaign over and over, and each time it was a different experience.

I played Titanfall 2 for a brief time.  I believe I was controlling a Mech.
