Don't pay the ransom, I escaped
« on: January 28, 2022, 04:12:26 PM »
The short version is I had been in the hospital since 1/20 for some much needed surgery.

The long version is 'icky,' but I'm saying that so that if there's anyone fighting this fight that needs an ear, here I am.  In 2017, I was diagnosed with colon cancer.  Now we've got that on the run and my plumbing has been, along with a few alterations, put back together.  On the plus side, along with the reconstruction, my surgeon also removed my appendix and provided an unsolicited tummy tuck.

Now I have the body of a Greek god, until I turn around.  Oops.  It also turns out that Greek gods have little bitty....  well, never mind.

So, when you see me flying a bomber or C-47 on lame-ass tame-ass missions, rest assured of two things.  1.  I'm having the time of my life and 2. I'm sitting on a donut.

Aftereffects of all these are only two things.  The first is I have zero attention span and second is.....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzz

I'm sitting on a donut.

From what I've read, in move planes the pilots sat on their parachute, and what was all the padding they had for the seat.  I think a pilot in that position would welcome a donut to sit on.
