USS America returns home 1991
« on: February 12, 2022, 08:38:34 AM »
My uncle recently digitized some VHS home movies.

In this one, my dad returns home from Desert Storm 4/18/1991 with USS America CV-66.

Interesting study of the times and Norfolk when ships return from deployment.

Things to note -

- An Invincible Class Carrier is docked nearby with Harriers and Helicopters
- A-6 Intruder Flyover at 7:45ish
- A young, awkward, 10 year old Nef and his 39 year old Lt Dad. Hard to believe I am older than him in this video.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Nice.  A little slice of history. :aok
Toxic, psychotic, self-aggrandizing drama queens simply aren't worth me spending my time on.
