When you move up into the Kiamichi mountains of Oklahoma, you leave a lot of infrastructure behind. Our internet is a joke. The nearest gas pump is 17 miles away along with the nearest post office. The nearest grocery store is over 40 miles away. I did notice a crew burying fiber optic cable about ten miles from here and heading this direction. Who knows maybe by the end of the year I'll have the bandwidth to fly again. I'll be the one the rust clouds fly off of when I get air borne.

I hear you. I moved to the Western slope of Colorado, and they have been putting in fiber optic in since last summer up here. Still hasn't made it to me even though it is just a mile or so away. Trees all trimmed main lines buried and everything marked but still waiting.
