You guys are lucky you've never had such a ruthless leader as corkyjr. A tyrant I tell you.

This is a well-known fact.  For many years, +Tiff was not a martinet.  He was easy and pleasant, almost vivacious.

Until the Spitfire Drop Tank Controversy.

After that, his heart hardened, and he became the Captain Bligh of P-38 notoriety.

Very sad story.

My time at the helm of the Jolly Rogers was one of great joy and pitiful despair. I was a ruthless leader and a reckless despot. I was a magnanimous hero and a generous friend not to mention a cruel betrayer and a horrible advantage taker.. I set and broke the example. I never asked of others what I wasn't willing to avoid, myself. It was a thrilling time. I was a squad of one.  :O

I know some squads are very casual, but not ours.

Our squad, The Wrong Stuff, is run under the strictest discipline and professionalism. We fly in uniform.

There's no time for fun and games. We've got a war to win.

How you been doing?

Im currently a rook but not in any squads. I dont get on that often but when I do I am usually in a GV. I have already been called a spy by a long time GV'er because I am not on too much.

I have been poking around on the FW forums but just as a guest, havent subbed there yet.

Exactly.  When I enlisted, they made me a Knight.  Then Sik1 offered fighter ops tutoring and we used vox 117 in the training arena.  The next time I logged into the main arena, I was still set to 117, where I got to listen to Gpreddy, Omen, Deputy, Maineac1, Waxx, and the rest.  Even though it's their squad channel and I'm not in their squad, their conversations are worth the price of my subscription.

Don't forget S.A.P.P..

The 80th decided since we had so many folks joining up with us from other squads, we needed a separate P-38 entity for the group of groups... so to say. Corky started that up too.

S.A.P.P.

Consortium of 12
Skuzzy = Grand Exalted Ruler of the Consortium of 12 ex officio
CokryJR = Exalted Ruler pro tempore
Raptor = Exalted Ruler pro tempore emeritus
AKAK= Esteemed Leading Knight of Oxygen and altitidue
Murdr = Esteemed Loyal Knight of the Duct Tape
Shuffler = Esteemed Lecturing Knight of the Blender
Estes = Gracious Secretary
Delirium = Treasurer
Soulyss= Inner Guard
SaVage = Esquire
Mensa = Eunuch
Fianna = Organist

I remember my very first day of playing the game, and some lady got on the radio demanding that I do something for her (I think it was to take out ords somewhere).  I asked her "what am I, your employee?"

Her response was "I have three stars, I outrank you."

I told her "Good luck with that one, ma'am."

She might have been joking. Sounds like something I would say.

While flying in WBs, a guy named Darryl kept giving me targets to bomb.  After an hour I said, "Darryl, how about a cheeseburger and some fries?"  And he goes, "Great!"  So I said, "Okay, but that's the last order I'm taking tonight."  The next day I swapped from green to red and my life got so much easier.

That's funny.

there's always one guy like that. haha.  I just kind of keep quiet.

The other day I was up in my pony over an enemy base with some action. There was some guy on vox berating others because he wanted to capture the base. 'do you guys not know what you're doing???' and other things like that.

I wanted to say, 'yeah... I've got like two hours to play and I just want to shoot at some planes'..

I mean, not everyone has a mission. I'll help when I can - and I love interacting with other people on vox. but I'm just usually wanting to do what I want to do for a couple of hours.

If there's some kind of fight going on - that's all I really care about.

just wanted to add that if someone ASKES me to do something, I almost always do it. It's the guys that complain and order things that I just ignore.
