The part about you being bailed out of your planes just out of the blue is the part that struck me the hardest.

That being said, I think a phone call to HT would have been the best move.  You said previous emails had gone unanswered, so call the man and describe the situation, provide the
time and screenshots if he asks, which he likely would from my experience, and leave it off here.

That way you went straight to the top and left everyone else's opinions out of the subject.

Can't recall ever being muted or anything else, so I can't say I've been in your shoes, but I can empathize.

I've seen a lot of stuff on 200 the past week or so that should have been mod muted, given the rules that seem to be in place, yet it goes on and on and on, til I
just untune 200 and carry on having my version of fun.

I don't care about your sympathy or anyone else's. The game permits off-map flying and when the opportunity to have an optimal chance to hit a strat arises I do it. What I DO care about is a mod who has issues with me doing that and bails my planes when his BP reaches 180/100. Is that where we want this game to go, folks? If a mod dislikes a particular player's choices he can bail their planes at will, even though that player is playing by the rules?

Personally while there is no penalty for flying off the map at this time I would love to see not only the player get bailed, but also a 15 minute no launch period added to them. In the spirit of the game its cheap and a BS play.

Phrasing of the thread title is a bit odd, a statement and a question which the statement SEEMS to be answered by the OP in the subsequent post.

I’d imagine a moderator would have the power to boot someone out of the game if they got way too out of hand. However that’s not what happened, he claims he was booted from his sortie.

So, has this ever happened to anyone else here reading/posting? I.e. under what circumstances will a mod decide to boot you from your sortie (if they actually have or do).  Ever since I joined AH players have been able to fly off the map (except on that one area/base on an old map we don’t have anymore).
They're casting their bait over there, see?

Frequently I was disconnected upon dropping my bombs before they landed when I used to be a turd who flew off the map. Straightened me out real quick and forced me to become a better player. I only hope it was deliberate because things like that and others are the reason I am the player I am today. Now I see the way and the way is good.

Sorry about that, but AH Oldies have their own way of speaking, so the 'authentic frontier gibberish' was about all I could figure and I read your post twice.  I did get the part that you're having fun.

I want to re-iterate the most important objection I have to what happened.

I played by the rules.

Some of you might think I wasn't sporting or whatever but I played by the rules.

99Capera didn't like what I was doing and after calling me out on 200, after repeatedly demanding I end sortie on 200 and rook channel, suddenly both muted and bailed me.

Is that the power you guys want mods to have?

YES! to answer your question.

While it may not be a "rule" per say common curtesy dictates you play IN the play area of the map.

Were it me I think the MODS should have alot more power and the means to merit it out much more often. Far too much BS goes on in the game that many think hurts play in the game.

Wow.
So Blade-type 30k lurking next? Clearing someone else's 12? Really? Where is the dividing line?

HT makes the rules. Mods are supposed to keep ppl in line, not apply their own ideas of how the game should be played above HTs. Right?

Dont think "lurkers" are a plus. Basically, fly with a little "class". I know that's a really foreign concept for many these days, but dont jump into 1 vs1 unless its your wingman, dont fly off the map as it isnt the play area, "clearing someones 12"?  LOL!!!! again stay out  or a 1 vs 1!. If taking a base do what your assigned to. Drop the hanger!!! even if that means dropping your bombs and rockets on it and STILL having to make gun runs until its down!

MODs should control poor game play be it bad vox/text, or just plain bad behavior. Make the game FUN for everyone.

Mods should also be dispassionate to the best of their ability. I never use curse words, rarely muted, etc, but the few times I HAVE been muted was when I was getting the best of cap in a debate and suddenly I was warned. Do the math, and decide if that's good for the game or not.

Think it through semp. No matter what you think of my style of game play, I do play by the rules. 99Cap has a vendetta against me because he shares some of the values you do; but he's a mod and uses his mod power to bail ppl he disagrees with. Is that a good thing for the game? Or not?

Interesting, another accusation of Mod abuse without one shred of evidence - only a perceived notion of abuse & injustice. The accused has stated that he is not a Mod, but of course, he hasn't proven that either. . . . .lol

Under Rule#8 there is contact information to report such iniquity. Rather than perpetuate the role of victim, why not use the avenue for resolution - assuming you really want this issue addressed?

Mod's rarely Mute or Boot a guy for something innocuous. Although, there have been disruptions where a minor participant or two inadvertently received the Hand in a mass muting those days seem to have long since passed.
