Eagler.........Taiwan was the first thing I thought of after Putin invaded and struck the Ukraine. I picture him, (Xi) now on the sidelines thinking..hhhhhhhmmmm....the world is doing nothing but threatening with sanctions. Putin warned (to paraphrase) anyone interfering will suffer consequences not seen before. And Xi is putting his sights on Taiwan.
As in world economic consequences, as I type this I am watching, the Stock Market is now down 750 points. I recall our President stopping oil and gas production in the US (fracking etc.) I don't know if he knows we purchase a huge amount of Oil from Russia? We were self sufficient in Oil and Gas and were even exporting both! His political decisions such as this, forced him to beg Saudi Arabia et.al to boost production! This country, at this time is predominantly powered by Natural Gas and Oil. We are not near enough to say that Electricity generated from Sun, Wind etc. will power the US! Right now we are using Oil and Gas to recharge what little power we use from Sun, Wind etc. His love muffinian (new term invented by myself) decisions have not only put the world in a difficult position but our country.
Yes.....I agree. We must watch what Xi plans for Taiwan. And I pray for the people of the Ukraine. And hope also Taiwan is not targeted next. Our President has caused our difficulties sorry to say.
It seems that the past 12 years of Politicians views, except for the four years Trump was our President, inaction and lack of common sense have also fueled this travesty.
Do you think if Donald Trump were President this would have occurred? I think not!
