Ok, well Violator is correct that you cannot take off from a CV in the MA. You can land, re-arm, and re-roll. So it is you that is wrong.

The hardest part of landing/rearming a 263 on a cv is turning that thing around to get back to the realm pad. Pretty sure it took me 10 min of massaging the brakes and power to get that thing back in the right spot.

Rev the engines slightly and you will roll backwards. Just be careful to go to idle and hit the brakes in time to not roll off the stern.

Stern as being the back end of a ship is correct too

For aircraft carriers,  at least while I worked on the flight deck in my youthful years 😅,  we called it the FanTail....then there is the FanTail opening below the flight deck.... a lot of things go on/ happen at this particular CV / CVN opening... not just for boarding/ unloading when at Port in different countries....

That is from habit. We are building a yacht in the shop. It is an aluminum 65' powered cat. Mission built for the Great Loop. It will also spend some winter in the Bahamas.

Yes, thank you, Spikes. You cannot spawn on a CV runway was my point. Re-arming a 262 on the CV for re-roll definitely takes some skill and practice.

I thought it came from being called that from way back like the around 1919 or somewhere around that time line 🤔

I was being serious, Shuf.... someone, somewhere back then said that by the way the bow was narrow and the stern was wider (read as: fanned out like a whale 🐋 tail, is why they begun calling it the fantail.... it might have been later like  1939 or 49....but for some reason I was recalling it was around 1919....

Just  for laughing at me I'm  gonna  hunt you down in MNM, and become cannon fodder!   :x

Bow, stern, port, starboard...never in the navy just a fisherman's common knowledge :)

Flying through town bridges and under trees is a good distraction

Have to wonder how tall and large the trees are if one can fly under their arches

Apparently, yes! Couldn't pull it off in a fighter just because you can't stop in time, but I could do it in a Storch!

For some reason that trick didn't work. Had to do a couple 180s
