Wacky forum stuff
« on: April 24, 2022, 12:16:24 PM »
So problem #1 just came up. I can't modify my messages. I literally was able to do it yesterday, and today the buttons are just completely GONE.  :headscratch:

EDIT: HOLD UP WHY CAN I EDIT THIS POST BUT NOT OTHERS?  :noid
EDIT #2: Apparently I can edit my post in the general discussions, but not the films and screenshots area?

Problem #2: Image uploads. I can do the usual 4 at a time, but in order to insert them, I have to post it with the bare uploads, then copy the upload links from the post, then edit them in to insert them into the actual message. Is there something I'm missing with image permissions?

You can only modify your posts up to a certain time limit, thereafter you can no longer edit/modify a post.  Not sure what the time limit is (~ an hour?)

Image uploads - yeah, kindof labor intensive way to do it.  You can also upload your images to an image hosting site like imgur.com and then link the images from there in your post.  I've done both.   Not all forum areas allow posting with images as HTC attachements, then you have to use the 3rd party image hosting option.

Most of the threads have the image upload turned off because they didnt want to use up server space with a bunch of spam/crap that has noting to do with the game. You'll notice the threads that do allow uploads are threads that pertain to issues in the game.

Best of my recollection

A person has up to 3 hours to edit/modify their post

Haven't checked/ verified that in years though
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC
