i was one of the two aircraft who came upon his six. JV lees was in front but i was in trail about 1200 yards. we were wondering if he was AFK because his course had taken him over an airfield, and he hadn't dropped. i did see return fire and JV torched one of this aircraft he immediately disappeared JV only got credit for one. we were talking about this when he came upon 200 channel and started his rant. that we were cheaters because his guns were unmapped, and he had pulled the plug this is rare for me but after listening to his crap i suggested that if the game made unhappy he should quit. He taunted us for JV not getting his proxies.The game will be better with him out of it

I'm thinking this is just a case of gamer tilt and some mistakes as far as situational awareness.

I've had some weird engagements at times, and I do have some serious issues with the way the BT guys operate, but at this point I'm thinking they're just really effective and I let my guard down sometimes. For example, one time I was flying 10K above an enemy field in a 109 Gustav, and I dip a wing to take a look at the bandits below. I see a Yak and a few others, about 2-3K below me. A few moments later the Yak is on me, and he shoots me down, and then I find out it was one of the BT guys.

Now, it definitely seemed sketchy from my end. The timing was wack. But, I will admit, it's more than likely that I simply let my guard down. Odds are there were two Yaks, one below me and one above me in the clouds. I probably got bounced from above. Surprises just happen in dogfights, it's a fact I've long since accepted.

I still get pissed off how the BT guys will take cheap shot after cheap shot to take down fighters upping, but at least they're in fighters at all lol. I just try to avoid engagements with them now, and it's been fine for me since then, I've had some really really good fights lately, I just had a fantastic 3 kill sortie in a Gustav 14 just now.

Overall what I'm trying to say is Aces High is a stupidly fun game with a very steep learning curve, and I'm going to keep making the best of it.

Agreed, it could be as sim-le as selecting mode 2 and press the button to copy mode 1. His guns may not be mapped in mode 2,the gunner mode.

I've had my CH stick be unmapped before. I don't know what causes it but it's probably just some bug. Nothing nefarious.

Same thing with strange jumps in location by either yourself or other players in the game. Like others have said that could be a connection problem. It's just stuff that happens with online games it's not cheating.

 In fact I think this is one of the most secure online games I've ever played as far as cheating goes. Other gigantic online games are unplayable because just everybody is cheating constantly.

Ya that's a concern for me as well because INK visited a few months ago and fired up AH on my PC after I crashed for the night.  He said he had some warping issues so I did some testing and I'm well within margins.  I'm sure I'm going to have some tech issues when I return but I had them 10 years ago when I started playing.  It's all part of the game which, as I recall, can get pretty complex as you grow in it.  That's why I'm taking my return slow, getting all the gear I want up front, and doing a month or so offline to get acclimated.  Then I'll play in the TA for another month or so to make sure everything holds, works, seamlessly, etc.  Hopefully my old squad takes me back and you fine gentlemen will have a fresh new target to abuse

Remember there's also the net status feature that you can access from the clipboard. A real time graph of your connection. From what I've understood is that the variance in delay is more important and effects your gameplay more than the actual delay up to a certain point.

Welcome back! My advice on that is to just jump right in the main arena and be a new begin. You'll get your feet back. Or wings back pretty quickly. Plus it's not as boring as being in a training arena.

Took me ages to get all the settings correct in fiffers, boomers and tanks and still sometimes pushing wrong buttons. Well, someone's has to be easy pray for those who hunt them.
