This captured T-34 was used as a tank destroyer by Panzerjager Abteilung 128, the anti tank unit of the 23rd Panzer Division during the German Army's retreat through Southern Ukraine in the summer of 1944. To prevent friendly fire incidents the tank was given an extensive repaint in German colours as well as no less than seven large Balkankreuz markings.
