Get over yourself and block the person and it's as simple as that.

Yeah he's funny. Being abusive and abrasive. Against the forum rules probably every other post he makes and you think he's funny. You're somebody who apparently officially represents aces high in some capacity with that title of yours. You may not be employed by them but I would think that somebody with an ace is high trainer banner flying in their title would be the first person to admonish the kind of posting that Zack does.

With your card upgrade, did that result in any improvement of your vr headset visual acuity?

The jiggers I would get around busy large feilds stopped..

Resolution looked somewhat clearer in ah and helped the smoothness in dcs and il2

First run with the 3080/G2 was friday in AH. Got it late afternoon and had pretty much just plugged it in and loaded the drivers. No tweaking at all. The 3080 pretty much just laughs at AH. Is that ALL the settings you have to throw at me? Had everything max'd out in AH even environmental a couple of notches and had a solid 90FPS everywhere. Haven't had much time to tweak IL-2 but got 70FPS with a lot of eye candy turned up and playing with OpenXR Toolkit. The improvement in clarity in IL-2 going from the RiftS on a 2060 to the G2 on the 2060 to finally the G2 on the 3080 is night and day better. Better spotting/ID, easier to pick out stuff on the ground at a distance. Finally not chasing my settings just to see. Brute force is doing the job now. Haven't messed with DCS but thinking about MSFS now. You really need something with some horsepower to unleash the high resolution the G2 has.

Aces High is not that big. The DCS P-47 file is three times bigger than the entire Aces High game.

I know more is better.  Some of my search shows cards with 8, 10, or 12 GB.  What’s recommended as minimum, optimum, best for a future G2?

For AH primarily with the G2 I went from a 1060 to a 2070 super with an i5 8500 and have never had any problems with it handling anything AH full detail.  It even works pretty good in MFS 2020 at about 75% detail as well(depending on altitude and city density)....all while running the G2 in its recommended settings. If you want to run big high detail games I would go to at least 3080.
