Yeah, I think it was internet weirdness with a micro lag... here's my perspective where it seemed you went above so I peeled off.   My film shows that microwarp taking you to 7k but bringing you back to 5.7k like you said (and your film shows.)   Meh, it is what it is.

Lots of comments about warps today on vox and 200.. I relogged when I had planes jumping all over. Very unusual.

I asked Stepsis to check his film if he died in the following round... if he had done so and come back to me with what he said, I'd have been ok with that.  He had time after dying in the following round to do so, he didn't and we were about to start another round. At that point I wanted it clarified before it got too late - that round was his 2nd win.

I gave up my position based on what I saw and he came at me for an easy target, which is why I asked him to check his film as I didn't want to outright accuse him - which would have been wrong. I haven't even seen Stepsis' film, I took his word once I knew he actually went to review it.

I do not regret asking for clarification or accept any responsibility for those who left - they obviously had no desire to be King.

It sucks the numbers went down, we want more people in KOTH not less. The elitist attitude doesn't help.

If people got "bored" and left while you did a simple courtesy check, it's on them, not you or me as Eagler tried to infer. We've had pauses in the past for a variety of reasons, generally related to a rule clarification.

I had to interject after the 410 round, otherwise we'd have segued right onto the next 47m round. If I said nothing, you'd not have gone to check film. It's not like you said, "hold up, I need to go check film as Shane asked me." I already asked 2 times by that point, after the 110 round, during the 410 round, and again after the 410 round when you finally went to check.

Your posting the film here wasn't really needed. I take people at their word because I expect them to take me at mine - only needed a "checked, didn't break it," no need to post it on the forums - 3, 4 minutes to log out check a short film and get back in?  While you were checking, we kind of decided it was probably a micro-warp issue and to just accept it as "it is what it is."  IIRC you came back confirmed no-break, we said good to go, but remarked more on your connection issues, and then you decided to go re-log?

The fact you relogged to stabilize your connection (after Lazer remarking on it as well) also added some time to the matter.  Did it stabilize and make for a better experience?

Which took longer, checking film or relogging - you took about 15 mins for the whole thing. I had no issues with that beyond wondering if you were re-booting pc instead of just re-logging as it was taking some time.

And that's what you perceive my elitist comment to be about - the leavers not having the desire to be king because they didn't want to wait? 

Also, this... the la7 round, I saw Fuze's remark on flashing clouds (alt cap violation) - I didn't notice the flash in our 110 engagement, which is why I asked you to check film.

But back to the la7 round and Fuze's inquiry (at the 3:23ish mark on the film) - it occurred away from our area.  No one ever mentioned (?) breaking the cap at the time?  I've broken the cap several times in past and have always immediately announced it and augered in.

I never asked anyone to wait on me and would not have objected to  any rounds starting without me. I checked the film as soon as I could, and I relogged once I had multiple people pointing out my connection issues.

Now you're making into something it's not.  I remember you saying you didn't think you broke alt cap and I asked you to check film just to be sure, since things can be overlooked in the heat of the moment.  Word on what you think you saw vs word that you confirmed film are two different things, mmmkay?

It was on the 3rd request that you check to confirm that you finally got around to doing so. I had told you my film showed you appearing to break alt-cap, which implies I went to check before making any such claim or request of you. I only needed confirmation of what your film showed, not what you think you saw, just like I went to check film than go off merely what I saw in the moment.

But this is a red herring.  It's Eagler's implication that people left because of this delay, not mine.  (Also, refer back to the above re the La7 round)

Mom left after the 3rd round - done r.u.n.n.o.f.t. and never came back

Decoy left after the 4th round (410) due to time constraints anyway.

This leaves, Lazer, HOtard and Jayz as being the potentially "bored" people who left after the 410 round while we were waiting. Why they left? No idea. (edit: I did follow up with Lazer, mix of waiting/warping)

You're taking it too personally, Stepsis, like I'm attacking you.  I'm not, I'm back-handing Eagler, here for his implication that a whine was recorded and we lost players. You're getting caught up in it because you thought my statement was elitist and attacking your integrity.

You're reaching here.  Eagler's the one who made the time-wasting implication, inferring that my whine made you waste all ours' time with the checking and relogging.

Do you think I was wrong to even ask for confirmation? (Did you even view my film and go, ahhh I see what happened..?)

Do you think it was wrong of several of us to point out your connection issue? Do you think it was wrong of you to re-log (re-boot?)

I had no problem with any of that, while Eagler seemingly did.

Lost 7, 4 pre-check, 3 during check and gained 1 after check.

3 people, Eagler, and I can't claim to know why they left.  Decoy had to go anyways from his own comment.

I think it was handled appropriately and at the appropriate moment between rounds - it just took longer than we all expected due to also resolving connection issues.
