Historically, 5/7 and 5/8 have been Rook bases not Bishop. Take a look at Baltic.

True, but those bases were where some of the best battles happened. The new update has risen to 40 bases per country, up from the 23 bases per country in Baltic. The actual hard part on this new map, is getting 40 bases dispersed for the Knights as they have the smallest land mass. I also intend to put multiple spawn points into all bases.

One small note I always thought the 53/51/P59 bases were a bit too close compared to the other two islands. However the other islands do have more bases closer.
Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

I like the original (Baltic) of this map as well, the only problem being the steep hills. This version is based and actual geographical data, thus the steep hills are greatly reduced. I have also added additional bases and ports, along with a Battle Ship for each country.

The 51/53/59 proximity are dictated by the CV/BB port 101. I'll take another look at that and see if I can improve the layout.

I plan on making the 163 bases high altitude, 3k to 5k. Most of the other bases will be generally lower. I am always open to suggestions, recommendations, or request. I am after the same thing as everyone else, good game play.

IIRC, the general altitude of the map terrain is less than 3k. Not to say we can't increase that if needed.

Being am amateur on this map stuff,…What catches my eye is in the north. The green bases intruding into the blue country, the only spot that happens. The only wide front line. Which, at first glance its where the most fighting will happen, AC and GVs.

It could be just a symmetrical issue we my eyes. But that’s my first impression.

Well noted Animl, the current version of Baltic has this as well. That plus the limited land mass of the "green" dictate some crossover. Providing spawn points at the other front lines will help balance that out.

Is this the map I always see confined northern battles?

Just fleeting thoughts. No reconfig would be easy. I'm have no clue what your requirements or limitations are. Not pushing or demanding changes.

Would it be better (or not) to lower base count so that it doesn't overlap?
Could there be more vacant land on the other two larger land masses to accommodate no over-lap?

I may have asked this before, do the countries rotate position on the maps? Or would 3 versions be required?

The one that is up today/tonight (sunday) is the old version of the map. Kenai is posting a rework of the map to update it some
