Fw 190D-9 of 7./Jg 26 in May 1945. This aircraft was captured by Allied forces at the Schleswig airfield in northern Germany.
This Dora features a upper surface camouflage of RLM 81 brown and RLM 82 light green over brown tinted RLM 76 on the fuselage and standard RLM 76 light blue on the wings and rudder. The center span of the lower wing was left unpainted. The gear doors are a dark paint that seems to match the upper surfaces colors and the panel ahead of the gear door mount is an even darker color paint that I represented with RLM 81 dark green. The black and white ID band of Jg 26 wraps around the rear fuselage. The side numbers and II gruppe bar were painted in a brown color that while unusual in general use in the Luftwaffe, was standard for this squadron since 1941.
