Important links are found at the bottom of this!!!

In wanting to do Pacific WWII again and playing in a setting that offers dynamic gameplay with an immense amount of scale, we have decided as a community to revive the SEOW Campaign System for IL-2 1946 + HSFX 7.0.3 mod. It is a very powerful system, everything is tracked and it allows for 256 players to play with hundreds of AI air, land and sea targets. The FAQ (link at bottom) explains in detail how it works but in short, it is the most dynamic campaign system that currently exists between all the flight sims.

Unlike previous SEOW campaigns that you may be familiar with, this will be running in dogfight mode. Meaning you can come and go as you please and respawn as many times as you want. This is thanks to =VARP=Thor who was able to unearth 7 year old code that was not finished and to bring it to a working state for us.

We had a play session where we had 85+ players in IL-2 1946 which can be found here, this gives you a good taste of how it played like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxrBvKbfFBs
Some more background on why IL-2 1946 is still a unique and good game and why it is still worth your time can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OR2_zJMfyJc
These events will be taking place monthly. This campaign is a 1942 Solomon Campaign that has historical units and fleets in the area. There is a command team on each side that is setting AI orders so, even if you are a solo player, you can hop in and take part in an online war and see your impact as the campaign progresses each play session.

If you need help on how to get IL-2 1946 + HSFX 7.0.3 mod set up, let us know on the discord. Hope to see you there!

Note for VR Players: No one on the staff that works on this has VR so we cannot help you get VR set up. If you figure out how to do it, please let us know on our discord.

Special thanks to Nullpoint for our community for getting his arms around the code to build the infrastructure. =VARP=Thor for coming back after a 7 year hiatus to unearth code for us. Lastly to Shermy for reminding us that IL-2 1946 exists and it's still a game worth our time.

I've been watching a few videos of modded IL21946 lately.

Looks pretty cool, especially the massive bomber missions. Not sure I have the patience let alone the time to try it out.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
