Who is the oldest pilot to ever score a victory in aerial combat? The German Luftwaffe's Theo Osterkamp, born in 1892, was a Pour Le Merite winner in WWI and as Kommodore of JG 51 during May-July 1940 he scored 6 victories including 3 Hurricanes and 1 Spitfire - a remarkable achievement for a 48 year old man. I believe there was a 51 year old pilot named Lindenberger in the Luftwaffe's II/JG300 but I dont have any details on his career. I think the USAF's BG Robin Olds, a WWII Mustang ace, scored several (??) victories in VietNam flying the F-4 Phantom. I know some will wonder if I am an "old" {cough} person. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm 54 years old - but I still have the body of a 53 year old! {g,d,r}
