my first motorcycle was a Kawasaki. Km100. Not on the same scale as the plane.

I always wished for that bird back when I played. I would have been thrilled to get on and hear it was in the game now.

I've seen the last existent one of these (I think) in the RAF museum in Duxford* and even conspired to get some pictures inside the cockpit. I'll have a look for those if anyone's interested.

We are always interested in such things!

Seems to me that some years back there was a discussion about this plane.  The weight of authority seemed to be that the famous flight test figures were off by quite a bit, so that it wasn't the hot plane that many pictured.

But memory fades as I age, so perhaps that wasn't the case...

That was my impression too that the Ki-100 was based on the later, heavier Ki-61 and that the testing reports weren't very cohesive. Having slept on it I think I already uploaded all those photos in the appropriate wishlist thread from years ago.

The version I'm asking for is the newer design with the cut down rear fuselage, not built from left over KI-61s .

As I said I think they were heavier airframes to start with so the fabulous weight-saving over the LC version is neither here nor there. Might be Perdweeb that knows.  :old:
