Crash to desktop

This is the persistent problem while in 8 inch or 16-inch guns will be firing and next thing I know crash to desktop please fix!

Funny, it has never happened to me. My guess is it is more likely a issue with your computer. More than likely your sound card has a conflict with the sharing an address with something else. Uninstall your drivers and card and then reinstall them. Hopefully windows puts on a different address and the issue will disappear.

Good points, Fugi.

If the issue affects only one player it's most likely in their computer.

Regarding the sound card, I'd start by disabling the Nvidia/Radeon HDMI sound card in Device Manager and then uninstalling its driver.

I've had this a few times randomly. Happens when on ship guns too long.

I also occasionally get booted mostly when I'm firing the 8" or 16" guns.  This was more prevalent back when AH3 was in beta.  Hitech did a few things which made it less frequent but as I remember it was something to do with the sound card.  I still get booted sometimes if I'm on the guns for a while shelling a town, base or task group.
