I streamed the scenario I was in.

I'm happy and grateful that you did.  :aok

Worried about the other side getting intel??

They get plenty of intel in your scenarios already with the second accounts people use flying scout missions

Only a bit.

Reason for it is that lots things would go badly for bombers and attack planes if enemy knew exactly where they were too early.  A lot of mission planning is keeping enemy from knowing where they are for as long as possible.

I think the vast majority -- maybe even all -- of scenario players wouldn't be looking at another side's stream to get an advantage there.

I think it is ludicrous to stream the Scenario.

I think twitch has stream delay. Turning that on would help with stream sniping. Won't do anything with the other side learning your sides strategy in scenarios though. And I don't know how long you can delay a stream. Probably won't help too much on a 45minute mission.

But imo half the fun of scenarios and fso is the strategies. Making a plan, seeing what the enemy does, analysing what worked and what didn't, then adjusting. That rush when everything comes together perfectly and that humbling moment when you get completely picked apart. Then you dust yourself off and go back to the drawing board. Stream sniping takes the fun out of it for both sides. So just don't do it (the sniping, not the streaming).

I'm all for anything that gets this game more exposure.

I agree. If you have any forethought for other peoples gameplay, you'd avoid streaming at all costs.

The older crowd just doesn't get it. They don't get the exposure streaming brings. I myself have had three people come back/new to the game from my streaming of the game.

No one cares about the scenarios as much as you think. But its so funny to me that your worried about a stream that not that many watch versus someone with a shade account on a second PC spying on people in a game. And it's not just one or two people doing this either.

I personally worry more about people who just don't care. Streaming Scenarios is a bad idea. Stream the main arena all you want.

The whole point of streaming is to attract people to the game. Scenario's especially as that aspect would draw more people in. Planned out historical scenarios always draw people in.

If people have to go to the lengths at which you believe they will to get an edge in a video game that is just sad.

I would  say steaming Scenarios these days are fine in most circumstances. Especially as an escort or as a defender. The flights are pretty short. Toss a minimal 3 minute delay on if you want to be safe and you're fine. I agree Scenarios in the past maybe weren't great when you were flying 60 min or longer sorties just to get to target, but those are long gone.

I have joined the action.

Apologies for the first video. Wasn't sure if I was streaming at first. When I tried to preview on my phone it was black screen with audio.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!
