Terrains and Google Earth
« on: June 18, 2023, 06:07:00 PM »
I've watched a few vids on YT showing how people were using GE to make terrains very quickly. Is this possible to inject into the Terrain Editor? Or am I super late on this subject? (prolly am)

Artik has a program called makeahmap that used it or a similar process for making ah terrains.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

You can use Google Earth to get the Longitude and Latitude of the central location of what area you want to generate a map, put those into Artiks program and it will extract the data from NASA digital sources to create the map. Fun stuff really.
