This winter-camouflaged T-34/1943, turret number 116, of the 30th Guards Tank Brigade was based on the Leningrad front in January 1944.
The 30th GTB began the war with T-70 light tanks, upgraded to T-34s in 1943 and then KV heavy tanks in 1944. They fought in the northern sectors of the Eastern Front; Leningrad, the Baltic coast and then East Prussia.
