On Amazon Prime Video they have an add-on channel called "The Great Courses Signature Collection". It's basically college level well-presented material on every imaginable topic. Astro Physics, music, religion, history and...all major world conflicts.
I am halfway through the course "
World War II: The Pacific Theater". Guys, like you, I thought I knew almost everything about WWII doing what we do. I am blown away by the level of detail of the course and just how many mini-carrier-based battles there were in 1941-43 when the Japanese dominated the Pacific.
My Dad was in WWII (on the Yorktown) and I did not know 70% of this material!
The channel costs $4.95 a month I think.
