I had no idea he was a Vet, much less a WW 2 Combat Vet. Always looked younger than his real age. Great voice.  :salute

While I can admit he was an icon from the crooner era and don't celebrate his passing... I've never been able to understand his appeal. He must have really been something when he was young and just kept those fans until he died. RIP Tony! I never understood your path to such high level success.
