Global Warming: Facts Request FYI

So according to your quote here. It bascially proved my point that smog, or pollution, caused cooling in localized areas, as I mentioned a few post back.... athannnkyouuuu!

Greenhouse gasses are fundamental building blocks to life. Water vapor, nitrous oxide, C02, ect are all basic compounds that sustain life. These compounds among others actually prevent the sun from frying the earth because they cannot escape the atmosphere. Think about why you would need a "greenhouse" in fhe first place, to prevent your plants from drying out. The compounds stored in greenhouses nourish the plants and prevent them from frying and drying out. The earth is way more complex than a greenhouse though because heat rises and eventually enters a cold atmosphere that releases and breaks down the compounds and creates clouds and rain. You also have wind which disperses compounds. Its why you don't see anymore effects aby where from the train explosion a few months ago. The earth naturally breaks these gasses down, or rains them all over the crops. Yippie! But this isn't causing warming.

Again, look at a desert. It has less greenhouse gases than anywhere else on earth. It has less pollution than anywhere on earth. Less cars, less factories, and less all of that stuff and yet they are the hottest climates on the planet. Think about why. No water, No clouds, nothing for the sun to bounce off of. When you look at places that are getting extremely hot. They have very limited humidity and water vapor in the atmosphere.

The thing I see unfortunately is. They want global warming to happen so badly, because then they can say "see told you so". But the irony is, as noted above in your own quote. If we wanted to cool the atmosphere and global climate overall as they say, then every city should just create more smog.

I also agree with you, the Earth needs greenhouse gases to remain livable.  Without them, the Earth would be much cooler.  They are a good thing with the right balance.  The Earth's Carbon Cycle has kept the C02 concentration in the atmosphere under 300ppm for the last 800,000 years.  But something, in the last couple hundred years or so, has been causing atmospheric concentrations of CO2 to spike.  Some change has apparently overwhelmed the Earth's ability to regulate atmospheric CO2 at historical levels.

 

Yes deserts are hot, and it has to do with lack of water.   And they are getting hotter than they have ever been.  But places with plenty of water are also breaking temperature records.   The surface ocean temperature off Florida exceeded 101 degrees recently.  There is plenty of water there.

btw, a greenhouse doesn't stop plants from drying out.  You still have to water the plants in a greenhouse.  A greenhouse's design helps keep the plants inside warm (due to the greenhouse effect), so you can grow plants in cold weather. 

You may be right about the need to increase aerosols in the atmosphere to block a portion of the sunlight from reaching the Earth's surface.  If we ever have to go that route, I hope they choose something less harmful than smog.

The thing is, without that graph and all of the news, would you be able to tell there was any difference going on in the atmosphere? I don't think many people would bat an eye if they didn't have it shown in their face all of time as something to fear. That being said, I still don't think green house gasses are what is heating the earth. Inside a greenhouse, it's much smaller and doesn't have near as my variables as the earth. The earth is freaking huge. It's not C02 and mouth breathers making the world hotter. Those compounds rise, break down, and mix with water and other compounds in a cycle and repeat. A greenhouse does not have an atmosphere for these greenhouses to rise. it traps them before they can break down, thus trapping the energy of the compounds trying to escape from the heat not able to escape so easily, it doesn't get hotter in there if you added a C02 hose to it. Remember the sun heats it, and the heat energy doesn't escape very easily either thus keeping it hotter.

Here's another graph I just came across by a scientist. Along with back ground information. Who really knows... but I've also seen this theory that we have far less C02 and Oxygen than ever before for millions of years, I've even heard thay Oxygen levels are very low. But... who even knows. As I say before. When the loaded rich in Miami start selling their homes, then I'll know there is a real problem. Until then, I'd just assume to enjoy life and try to aquire one of those Beach houses. It's just going to be a lot harder to enjoy life if these rejects take away things that make my life better like money, cars, gas engines, planes, AC, heaters, grills, stoves, meat, and who knows what else they will come up with next.  because they think it's going to solve some global issue that they have no clue actually will.  That's when I and other start to have a problem.

All of them in every legit world org?  All AI?  All major non-denominational accredited colleges? The military? Insurance agencies?  They are all agreeing on the facts of this.

For some, when they see that all that is left to deny climate change are fringe, extreme, and unsupported sources (by peer science and education) is enough for them to come up for air and change.  Others there going to go down with the Titanic saying "its not sinking" to their last breath.  Some folks live so deep in the world of conspiracy theories there is no pulling them out.

Please Be Advised: a new substantial Republican effort (House Republicans) has been announced to combat climate change. They now accept that there is global warming after years of denial.  What is cool is they also offered a substantive method to begin to reverse it.

800,000 years haha best place to start that, because if you go further back in time the average rises up to parts 1000 per million... Soo.... I love science.

I think the 800,000 years is from the fact they determined CO2 levels by analyzing the composition of air trapped in ice cores from Antarctica, and the cores only go back that far.

Not sure how Violator's scientist's graph determined CO2 levels hundreds of millions of years ago, but I assume there is a method to make reasonable estimates.
