I'd say for used equipment 2010 or newer would still be valid for a long time. For the CPU that means i5 or i7 10### or higher if you continue with Intel. And although the current Ryzens seem to be very competitive the first generations have been told to suffer from strange issues like micro stutters. No personal experience, though, yet heard from people who had several of them in different builds from laptops to gamers.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Eagler, thank you for the offer, but I'll have to save for a few months to do anything. As you know real life waits for no one. :rock

Thanks for the quick reply Drano. I was hoping to avoid having to build a new system, guess that is not in the cards. Time to start saving pennies.  :D

For all you do for the game, I would gladly kick in a few bucks to a KenaiGoFund to get you started on a new rig. Bet I wouldn't be the only one, either.  :old: :salute

Max, I am humbled that you would offer to help, and thank you for the generous offer, but for now I'll do the saving route. :salute
My current setup keeps me in the game and doing the maps. I am still running 69 to 75 fps most of the time. Just thinking about going to VR, and what I have now wont do it.  :rock
