We wear a lot of headsets (Cans) between us engineers. Common pattern is JBL. I’m one of the few who strictly use Bose ($250). Some brands make them how they want them to sound, IMO, Bose makes them to how it should sound.

IF one can find a 4pin CommSet, used for stages, production, AC.  it can be converted to 2 - 1/8” connectors. For sims thats what I did. Same thing you use in a real plane. Costly brand new, my Beyer Dynamics list around $500. But I got it for free, not working. Fixed it and it was great. Still have it. It took s hit on storage issues.

JBL has some good cheaper midels.

I love my $16 Koss CS-100 headset/mic.

I've used this model for decades.  Sounds good.  Comfortable for me. Good mic.

Best buy have these?

Seems windows 11 doesn't want to talk to my converted $400 comm set, with 2 - 1/8” stereo jacks, can’t figure out why, unless its ohms. Going to try s 1/8” to USEB converter as last resort. Otherwise, taking your route.

Amazon.  Make sure to select the connector type you want (dual plubs, or usb, etc.)

Obviously you made it through my typical cell phone speellling errors. Thanks.
I need to get one working before the scenario.

As for mine, I prolly have to convert it back from 1/8” to 2 3-pin XLR mic cable connectors so I can run it through isolation transformers, which puts signal at 600 ohms, then to usb. I’ll take your suggestion until I get to that. Its even better than my Bose bluetooth headphones. Mine worked on last pc with Win10.

I’ve realized how hampered I am to type everything, plus edits.

Thanks.

If you order it now, you can probably get it in time.

I got my Koss HS, it will get me through until fix my BeyerDynamics headset. It works well for the money, just needs a windscreen to stop breathing and popping noise. I'm grabbing a few from work tomorrow. Other than that, it's just fine. Thanks Brooke
