Proposed new MA cvwar terrain for comment

I’m at least a month out in having this ready to submit but my buddy Jaeger/captain1ma has bullied  :D  me into uploading the current work. Says he might want to run MNM on it.  :airplane:

I would really like a prettier CBM but I’m no artist and I’m color blind to boot.

If you do try it out in its’ current iteration, please note I’m currently sculpting the mainland/shoreline bases with tile texturing, vehicle spawns, strat roads, and testing to name a few items yet to be done. Only the base 60 neighborhood looks anything like the other shoreline is supposed to look.

Btw, big shout out to Artik and his program for the elevations and basic ground type files. Used his program with center in Missouri, scaled, etc.

And yes, the base layouts are from a game board idea.

Well, I told you that, figured that was part of why you decided not to run it. I should have my update loaded sometime this weekend with both elevation sculpting and terrain tile painting along the coastal cliffs and bases. Again, use base 60 to get an idea of how the rest of the coastlines will look.I'm looking at 3 to 6 weeks to finish it depending on what I find going through it.

fyi, I had to put this on hold temporarily. Spending 3 weeks vacationing in UK with my son and his family brought most things to a halt. Restarted my projects with what I felt were quickest first but nothing about this is fast. The LSTs I'm working on updating currently take priority and have proven a bigger project than anticipated.
I'll restart cvwar as soon as I release the LSTs.

The new maps are cool and all but they all seem so big. Any chance of getting some smaller maps that might concentrate the game play more?

In my opinion, the next size down being a 128 x 128 mile terrain, it wouldn't last more than a few hours before being reset.

The reason behind this terrain is my memory of two of us fighting off a cv based attack which grew to 6 on our side fighting dozens from the cv and both groups asking bombers from both sides not to kill the cv or the hangers. The fight lasted hours!

I don't expect this to happen all the time here, but there should be a chance for both long running fights and land grabs. Remember noe missions? Less skilled, cough, new players, loved them for the most part.
btw, 2 of the 4 task groups on each side will be non-capturable while 2 will belong to the Ports.
