He watched over my shoulder as I shot down a few guys ..then said 'You guys have more combat time than any of us did, but we didn't get any 'do-overs' .. we had to get it right the first time." It's a gut punch to realize he is gone.

Met him at the Air Warrior con in 2000.  Nice Gentleman.

He autographed his book for me.  To Fly and Fight.  It's a great read.
