Yup, and unfortunately it's like a chain reaction. "If everyone is flying the fastest planes, than so should I because I can't compete" mentality. It's lost on some...

I don't care how fast a plane is, I care more about how it's flown.

The last time I logged on.... maybe a week or so back, I upped my P38J at a field that a corsair was attacking. As soon as I was wheels up, he started running. I logged and have had no thoughts of logging on since. I used to fly quite a lot. Most of the players are gone.... those few left are not on in the evenings.

Could be s lot of reasons for that. Bingo ammo and fuel come to mind. New ayer is another thought. That’s not the norm. Usually you’d get vulched.

Of course, other sims ya fly 2 hrs for 2 fights. <shrug>

That's true, it does need to happen for sure  . I'm tempted to fly the Tempest every sortie... it would be so much fun to zoom around and blow everyone out of the sky with those wonderful cannons like the other night, but then I remember that I have empathy and flying easy mode planes where I can run easily doesn't make the game exciting for others or myself. So I really only fly them when it's me vs a huge hoard so I don't get ganged easily. I feel a lot more satisfied having a down and dirty run in a 109g14 anyhow. I know you do too and I know you understand where I'm coming from.
