Bf 109G-6 operated by 6./JG 52 in the summer of 1943. This aircraft was one of the first G-6's to be deployed to the Eastern Front, as JG 52 was the first to get them, in July 1943 and the use of the JG 52 emblem on the aircraft was seldom seen after the summer of 1943. The tip of the prop spinner was painted yellow, the squadron color. 6./JG 52 was deployed at Anapa, in the Kuban bridgehead, and saw heavy combat from it's forward deployed base.
