A medium size venue tour I was on. I'm hidden on left side of stage, mixing monitors.
Steve was blowin his voice out. Horse as hell.

They opened for Bad Company's Running with the Pack tour in 1976 ..saw them on shrooms in Jax.. I was a Jr in high school..sold out show

Kansas was strange as heck between the new music style and peaking on the shrooms lol

Bad Co was great!

Kansas was popular with the progressive rock crowd. The stuff that made the radio passed, not so much the other stuff. I worked with them off and on from late 80s-2000. I didn’t care to tour. But it was only 5-6 shows and knew the band so I took it.

I preferred one-offs, wave bye, do someone else the next night. Got a lot of offers, rarely took any. Screw that carnie life. I turned down Prince. Wasn’t into his stuff at all.

I took Aretha because it was single fly-in shows, about 4-8 shows per month. And she choked me with money to get me to go on her “return tour”.

I did a one-off with BC, but was disappointed when the singer was Brian Howe. Good vocals, but not the same BC songs. Meh. 70s was the best time to see em. Kansas and BC seems like an odd match.

Ya don’t always get the bands you want, but its a paycheck.

In the earlier days rarely were vids made. So ya find garbage vids.

Never got into the shroom thing. Certainly wouldn’t mix a show that high.
