Moscow Air Defense Airacobra

P-400(RAF spec P-39D) operated by the 28 IAP PVO Moscow Air Defense in the spring of 1942. This was an ex-RAF aircraft given as aid to the Soviet Union. The camouflage seems to be in the factory painted RAF Temperate Land scheme with Dark Green and Dark Earth over a Sky underside. Soviet AMT-4 green and AMT-7 blue paints cover the original RAF markings and large red stars were painted over them.
