Tomahawk Mk.IIB(P-40C) "White 75" of 154 IAP, Leningrad area, in 1942. This unit was part of the Leningrad Front's 13th Air Army and conducted both air-to-air and ground attack sorties. This particular aircraft was photographed with a single RS-82 rocket under each wing. "White 75" was originally built for the RAF, but was instead shipped to the Soviet Union via port in Murmansk. This aircraft was painted in RAF colors and the original British markings were overpainted with Soviet colors. Red stars were then applied to the tail and lower wings. The prop spinner was painted white, the 13th Air Army's IFF marking.
