Folks "say" Spitfires and Hurricanes are cool, but...
« on: March 02, 2025, 07:15:34 PM »
They say that, but . . .

Where is the love needed to fill:

-- 601 Sqdn, "The Millionaire's Squadron"?
-- And those Spitfires in 41 Sqdn?

601 Sqdn (5 planes left)

41 Sqdn (3 planes left)

Must be some adventure-loving pilots out there, ready for some air-combat glory!  :aok

Nice airplanes but not with HT's version of 303's.

They are good planes in this setup.

He 111's are firing back with .303 singles.  And 109E's have 60 rounds per gun of cannon, empty after 7 seconds of firing.

If RAF had twin-cannon fighters, the He 111's would be hopeless.

It will be glorious air combat.  :aok

Battle of Britain is one of the most-popular scenario setups overall.

Have fun.

Thanks.  :aok

I hope you can give it a try for a frame as a walkon.  Not every setup is everyone's favorite, of course.  But you might have a great time in an iconic WWII battle that a bunch of famous pilots flew in (Sailor Malan, Stanford Tuck, Douglas Bader, Witold Urbanowicz, Adolf Galland, Werner Molders, Joachim Marseilles, etc.).

IKR! Where is the love? I signed up for 601 Squadron because I flew Spitfires in 2 other scenarios. Can't recall what they were captioned "Longest Day/Hour"?   It, the most memorable was 12-hour event. My first with VR. Names are not my best memory, was Ditto or Dantoo.....played "Top Hat Control" for like 10 hours of that event and stayed awake for like 22 hours to do it!  New Zealand/Australia if memory serves? 2017 I believe?  "Millionaire Squadron" lol at today's ammo prices and   2,664 rds. of .303 at $.64 per round?  Millionaire might even choke? lol Dang it fellers!!!! I can't do it by myself!  I will pay for the ammo!!!!!!! Hope more interest for this event catches on fire! These scenarios have a soft spot in my heart. They cemented my unwavering addiction to this community!
