New Computer
« on: March 14, 2025, 10:10:16 AM »
Hey guys, I just up graded to a new computer and was wondering if any of you would be willing to recommend what video settings to run in the game for the best results?  It's nothing to fancy, but it should run our old game with out too many issues, I'd just like to avoid any headaches and try to use some proven settings some of you have used with good results.  The computer is an Alienware Aurora R16 Gaming Desktop with an Intel Core i7 14700F, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB GDDR6X Graphics card and Windows 11 Home. It should get me through another ten years when Windows forces me into another new one.

I hope you have a high resolution monitor or are running VR as that computer has power to spare. If you're running at 1080P it's kinda like running a racecar in 1st gear.

... as usual... clothing optional. Some folks show so much concern about over heating their computer but forget completely about the user.

Your machine should do fine on this ol' game. Crank everything to the max.

Good chance the only tweaking you'll need is make sure your connection is smooth (low ping),.... not necessarily fast, but smooth transfer of data.

You MAY need to make some tweaks if you see glitches or discos as some apps attempt to update while you're playing.

Other than that you should be as smooth as melted butter. If you're not, let us know.
