Hi.
-I believe the home screen is from SteamVR, right?
-Do you use the Air Link or PC cable connect?
-Do you see AH with the curved screen as in the attached pic?
That's how I was doing it, and it was working for days. Then, the only thing that changed was the software update of the headset. From one moment to another, anything I tried did not work.
Now the only way to make it "work" is through Vive VR or OpenVR, which makes it look like you're inside a bottle. Everything is spherical. Impossible to play.
I also got an "Aces High does not support your headset" when trying with Steam. I didn't get that before.
Anyway, I'm not sure I want to use VR anymore because:
1- The feeling of nausea and eye strain is not fun. I still have it after days of playing, no adaptation. I bought a brand new laptop with the hope of seeing if these symptoms would go away, but I didn't get the chance to try.
2- Yesterday I played with a big TV, and even though the resolution is poor, I suddenly realized I was hitting targets almost the same way I did when I stopped playing 15 years ago.
In the past few days, in VR, I couldn't believe how bad my gunnery was. I thought, "It couldn't have taken that long to get it back, even after 15 years of absence from the game".
I think there is a response delay with VR, which makes the targeting of a moving enemy difficult.
When was the last time your headset had a software update?
Anyway, thank you for your input.
