Tri-State Warbird Museum TBF Avenger!
« on: May 16, 2025, 06:09:32 AM »
I got some news about my cities local Warbird Museum's TBF Avenger has crashed in Terra Haute, Indiana on its way to the Avenger reunion in Peru, Illinois. Luckily no fatalities and just 2 injuries. I personally have seen the Avenger in 2022 when the C-47 was in Cincinnati "That's All Brother" if they start a donation page I am donating to get it repaired and back into flying condition.

As a kid I flew for Forest Protection Limited, based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and at that time the Company was the largest civilian operator of TBM Avengers in the world. I did not fly the TBM - I was what they called a birddog lead.
Due to new rules about spraying insectiside, I believe the Company fllew it's last season in the mid '70s. i have  no idea where the fleet if airworth Avengers ended up.
