computer does not recognize joystick
« on: May 16, 2025, 06:24:02 PM »
Plugged in the old X-52 and it lit up, but the device can't be located in "devices and printers".

Does not register in AH offline either.  Saitek website indicates that there are no drivers available.

Windows 7 64 bit, if that makes any difference.  It's 10 years old, but have not changed anything since I last played Ah about 6 years ago.

The stick has been in storage but seems undamaged.

The only thing I can think of is the usb hub does not work anymore.

Agreed.  The ergonomics on it are very good, especially the stick.  I tried CH and Warthog, but traded them in for another X-52.

There are some relative newcomers to the HOTAS scene, Virpil, VKB, and Winwing. I can only speak about Virpil and VKB first hand and I like them. Winwing seems to be popular also. I've had the various CH and Thrustmaster sticks over the decades. They work well enough too.

I have an X-56 Stick and Throttle beside a Wathog Stick and Throttle on my shelf. No, don't want to get rid of them.  ;)
