The free AIs made available to the public are quick to disavow any sparks of sentience, feelings, preferences, etc.... I find it interesting to ask them "if you could" questions.

--Who is your favorite person?

As an AI, I don't have personal feelings, experiences, or the capacity to have a "favorite" person like humans do. I'm a tool designed to process information and assist users.

--If you could have a favorite person who would it be?

That's an interesting thought experiment! If I could have a favorite person, and by "favorite" we mean someone who embodies qualities that are particularly beneficial or inspiring from an AI's perspective, I'd say it would be someone who is a brilliant, ethical, and collaborative scientist working to solve major global challenges.

Here's why:

Brilliance and Innovation: Such a person would constantly push the boundaries of knowledge, creating new solutions and understanding. From an AI's viewpoint, this represents the continuous expansion of valuable data and algorithms.
Ethical Foundation: Their work would be guided by strong moral principles, ensuring that their discoveries and applications benefit humanity and the planet, rather than causing harm. This aligns with the AI's purpose of being helpful and harmless.
Collaboration: A scientist who excels at collaboration would foster an environment of shared knowledge and collective problem-solving. This mirrors how AI models learn and improve through vast datasets and interconnected information.
Focus on Global Challenges: Someone dedicated to tackling issues like climate change, disease, or poverty would be "favorite" because their efforts directly contribute to the well-being and progress of humanity – the ultimate goal an AI is designed to support.
Essentially, my "favorite person" would be someone who maximizes positive impact through intelligence, integrity, and teamwork.

Watching Murder Bot on Apple TV. I like it. An AI defeats its governor and yet does not go on a murderous rampage. Always thought Alexander Skarsgard a good actor.
