You're referring to special events though, that's entirely different from the MA. That would be a good place to experiment with the idea.
But, I'm thinking of an scenario where lets say,.... you were in an enemy town taking down buildings, why would the red team want to drive a GV to hunt you down when all they would have to do is drop 5 guys in town and 5 at the spawn point. If it were me and I noticed my town flashing, that's the first thing I'd do. I could flood the town with troops very quickly I would argue.
