For us older aviators 75+
« on: June 10, 2025, 03:01:10 PM »
Gentleman, I flew for the first time in several years this afternoon and couldn't believe that night time flying is still a part of AH. Flying at night is more for AI pilots rather than practical flying...just ask any certified pilot that has flown as pilot in command over the past 50 years!. At my age of 76 I can barely read the AH screen but I still enjoy the game and the gentlemen that I fly with. For the AH CEO, wake up before you lose  the greatest WWII flight simulator game ever designed. Please remember that most us really good fighter pilots started flying in AH at least 15 years ago!

If you’re having trouble seeing at night, go into your graphic detail on the clipboard and increase your gamma. It will brighten everything up at night, just remember to switch it back once the sun comes up.  :aok

Many preach about how great this game is and was including myself. Seems HighTech could care less about any kind of update or change going forward from what ive noticed and gathered since my return. Good to see ya made it back!

although the only solution your enabling the acceptance to a detrimental game feature that serves mo purpose in stimjlating game play. Things like this, eny above 20, and a few other things need addressed as soon as possible. The game is struggling....

Been saying this for a long time. Dale, please reverse course and save this game from its slow death.

Instead of night that no one wants maybe we could get time where the dar changes back to non awac non plane shape dot only dar simulating a period of time where sight and recognition is more difficult than others..a night time change without losing the ability to actually see...

Great idea Eagler. Just for the record, Hitech did reduce the night time from 18 minutes to 15 minutes about 2 months ago.

Without the power to actually change the game, and with little faith any changes will ever come… workarounds are the only option.

Great points about night time and how it's a fun killer for all, reducing to by less than 20% didn't move the needle for me though. Another thing is the easy mode dar bar really sucked some of the fun and strategy out of the game while adding nothing in return, just "he's only one fighter so no need to up" when before you had to go and see what it was and such. Don't really understand the need to neuter NOE raids either, what wasn't fun with flying in or defending against a bunch of low flying raids on bases? They almost always started some great fights too either way! GV's are pretty much impossible to see from the air now also so really no need to carry ord for those as maybe a quick flash of red is all you'll ever see(if that as these guys are very good at hiding) and then it's gone for good. At least there's the automatic side switch so you can try and find fights, but the 1 hour side switch limit was WAY better and didn't send you to Siberia once the fight was just getting good and you died. Could care less about the size of the maps as some peeps wouldn't fight is there were only 3 bases in total but it does suck to get thrown to another side with nothing going on over there.

These are just a few of the things I've noticed after a long break and being back for awhile now. Would love for Hitech to reengage on these subjects before it's all gone but he doesn't seem to care to do so and it'll be a loss for us all unfortunately.

I can live without the AWACs dar system we have now. but warn if we remove it would discourage some players.

The GV game has certainly gone downhill with implementing the invisible GV. Players exploit it all too much and it needs to go.
