TBH, this whole eny-whinge is taking the wrong tack blaming afk players. The amount of afk players is small and will not affect eny at the times its most needed.
The better solution, imho, is to revamp the eny and maybe obj values, particularly for GVs.
I think everyone is at least half right. There have been times when it shows 70-80 in the MA, but I could only justify maybe 40 active. But from my POV its usually leading up to prime-time 8p CT. I don’t play 24/7, but that is where I pick up on it. I don’t think its an issue in every hour.
Note prime-time for many players is about 7p, and it migrates across time zones. So when West coast logs in at 7p, its 10p ET, those players start logging to work the next day. If you are playing late on MT, while everyone else time zones hit 10p and you country has higher numbers and you’re rolling undefended bases, you’re gonna see ENY. Ya kinda earned it.
My point being, the chart is not a straight line across 24 hrs.
IMO, kicking = bad idea, bad byproduct in MA count.
Removing tower sitters after say 10 min from the ENY equation is a wonderful idea.
Will it solve everything ENY, prolly not, will it hurt anything, NOPE. There is no bad byproduct by implementing it. But it shows effort to compromise.
And thats what some should think about, compromise.
Players don’t seem to like it but ENY does serve a purpose, it just needs a tweak.
